The film ‘Cool Runnings’, about the Jamaican Olympic Bobsleigh team is based on a true story. The athletes missed the qualifiers to run in the 100m, and so trained for the Bobsleigh! They won the hearts of the world when they competed in the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, and now compete every four years – in Salt Lake City 2002 games they beat the world champions, Sweden.
